Travelling to Halkidiki with Children: Transfers, Car Seats and Tips

Ažurirano 1 okt 2026

Halkidiki is one of the most family-friendly holiday areas in Greece, with shallow beaches and large resorts. The part that parents worry about most is usually the journey from the airport. A few simple choices make it easy.

Child seats

Children should always travel in a seat that suits their age and size. When you book with us, add a baby seat or booster in the booking form (free of charge) and write the children's ages in the notes. The seats are fitted before you get in, so you do not have to carry your own.

Space for everything

Pushchairs, cots and extra bags add up quickly. Our vehicle has eight passenger seats and a large luggage area, so a family and its luggage travel together in one vehicle. Mention bulky items such as a pushchair when booking.

Flight delays and tired children

We follow your flight and adjust the pickup to the actual landing time, at no extra cost. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name, so there is no queue at a taxi rank. Need to stop for water or snacks on the way? Add an extra stop when you book.

Journey times

From Thessaloniki Airport it is about one hour to Sani, 70 minutes to Kallithea and around 1 h 40 min to Neos Marmaras. If you are choosing where to stay with young children, the closer resorts of Kassandra mean a shorter first day.

Child-friendly beaches

The long, shallow beaches of western Kassandra — around Nea Kallikrateia, Sani and Possidi — are ideal for little ones. Read more in our guide to Halkidiki's beaches.
